New favorite color combo is Latte and Bubblegum. I love how they compliment each other. Oh, and this is a new size card A1 have you tried this size before. Let me know what you think? I usually always do an A2 size but I am trying new things and this is one of them.

I love how the bubblegum ink on the cardstock just adds a subtle image. I am wanting to make more of these little thank you cards to have on hand. I guess I should figure out a few masculine color combinations.

Washi Tape

So I love playing with washi tape, it is really easy to use. I love that you can stamp on it. Or apply it then pull it up and move it. Simple and clean card made with the Summer washi tape collection.

Tuesday Challenge

I used the Marvelous Marigolds, the Blackberry cardstock and the Onyx satin ribbon. Yum!

Plus, you are getting a sneak peak of the Shimmer Damask Blackberry cardstock in the background. This paper is so Yummy, I do not even want to cut it.

The name of this set is marvelous marigolds. However, it does not look like a marigold to me....does it?

Well, Mom and I would plant marigolds around the tomato plants to keep the aphids and such away. Stinky little plants....smile

So, in thinking about Mom it made me think about the color of the plants we would grow and that is where I got my inspiration from.

October 2nd Blog Hop - Amuse

The theme of this hop is scrapbooking, now this is not my tradition size so be kind. I struggled with the 8 1/2 by 11 format. Plus, I am not the best photographer when it comes to scrap pages. I wish I had more time but I am down to the last minute. So here is my creation. This is a pix of me and kiddos when we went to the Gaylord Opryland. The place is incredible, filled with plants and even a little canal that had boat rides. My kids loved it even with all the walking. LOL! We hope to get back to Nashville soon it is a really treasure to visit.

Autumn has been in the air this past week. So this weekend I got a chance to play. I hope that you can see the details I stamped, the blackberry is very dark and rich. Most people either love coffee or hate it. Well, my husband is starting to love it and I am on the hate side of things. I really love the smell of it brewing, but that is the only thing I love. There is not enough creamer or sugar or flavoring in the world to get me to accept it.

Tuesday Template Revamping

I know that some of you were looking for a template Tuesday. Sorry, I have done a lot of thinking about this little weekly challenge. And I decided it could use a little change. Some weeks would be a template, or a color challenge, or a technique or maybe an element. Does this sound like fun?

Well, first off I will be renaming this Tuesday Challenge. Then if you would like to search them you could.

This first challenge I decided to use Orange as my focus. At the last moment I decided to apply the sentiment in black, I was afraid it would not show any other way.

I know my friend Vickie will be cringing since she dislikes Orange so much. I am sure she would rock this design in Purple which is her favorite color.

I received these really cool embellishments from my new upline's upline. I used to use the term Grandma Angel but I think I am older then Chelsea so I have to come up with a new term for my upline's upline......Any suggestions?

Anyway, I used the great die cut clouds and one of the buttons she sent me. I really enjoyed playing with the new product. I used the paper piecing technique on the kite.

Quickie

Here is a quickie card using the Rock-n-Roll technique. I love the colors that are in the summer collection. I might ended up with them all on my next order. (shhh! don't tell hubby)

I used the Bubblegum, Orange and Papaya Pigment Ink pads from A*muse. I have to say that I was worried that I would not like these inks but I am loving the vibrant colors.

The satin ribbon is gorgeous too, you get 10 ....YES... TEN YARDS! I just want to wrap myself in it. smile

Prayers for a friend

I have a wonderful friend that is having surgery on Tuesday. I sat down today and made this card for her. I use the Beautiful Botanicals stamp from A*muse. I also decided to use the chalk popping technique. I love the softness of this technique. I hope she does too!

So wanted to share with you my haul for the A*muse consultant kit. Can you believe this? I am lovin it. I spent most of the evening in my craft (just ask not so happy hubby) rearranging and making room. Some hard decision had to be made with what had to go.

I finally feel like I have the room to bring so new stamp in. Yippee! Now for my wishlist. LOL! We let's call it supplies for upcoming workshops. :o)

Check out these amazing blocks, soooo lovin' it. Although now I have a large stack of acrylic blocks that I do not think I will ever use.

And of course I could not get all these goodies with out sharing at least one creation. Well, truth be told I only had time for one.

Final Farewell - The Angel Company

As I told each of you TAC has decided to close it's doors. I had been with them for 6 years and am heartbroken. However, I do understand the decision Mischelle made, and I believe that she made the right one for her family. I have been truely blessed with the people TAC has brought into my life and I am grateful! As this door is closing another is opening...

Simple sketch to start your Tuesday. I thought I better do a simple sketch since I am challenging myself to color combinations that I would not normally use. I love orange, but I am not a big blue fan. Not sure why not but it just does not speak to me. So here is my attempt to put a favorite color with a not so favorite color.

I challenge you to do the same. Let's see what color combinations you can come up with.

On this sample I used the new dotted peony set by Nina B. Loving it! I was a little scared at first to use this set since I was thinking that I had to color it. But now that I realize that I can use colored ink, I am playing with it all the time.

Boots, always make me think of my Father. See he was a country boy at heart. He grew up in the country but then moved to the city once he married my Mom. He always wore his cowboy boots and western suits to church. I even have a bowler tie collection that was his. He was a wonderfully unique man, that I am proud to have called him Dad.

This card reminds me a little of him, even though the only thing that does is the boots. Missing him.

I saw this technique where you take embossing folders and use them around the edge of the card. As an edge design. I loved it and thought I can do that, I immediately when to play in my craft room.

Since over at Savy Projects Blog of TAC's they are doing a Christmas in July week. I thought I should take this opportunity to get a head start on my Christmas Cards. I love this little cute images so it was no chore to pull him out and get creating.

I wanted to do a card that would be good for a kid. I alway tend to do cards to grown-ups but this year I plan to send special cards out to all the little kids in my life.

Lots of Time

Do you ever miss the days when you could spend all day crafting? I know I do! Well, some how I was able to spend well over and hour on this card.

It took me forever to color since I wanted to layer it, I colored three to look the same. Then I cut the sunflower out and popped it up. I love this effect and I hardly ever use it. Funny, how things slip your mind when you sit down to create.

Plus, I challenged myself to use supplies and design collections that I have not used in a while. This SWIC collection had a wonderful yellow and pink cardstock in it that I choose to use.

I hope that you could steal some time away for yourself and craft away.

Wow, all I can say is you could feel the heart of the Angel Company! The blessings they shared with us was amazing. The new catalog will WOW you, it is truely a masterpiece. I can not believe the different variety of stamps, the new designers and the new cardstock. I am in love with everything TAC!

I am in love this this set, I had so much fun coloring and creating with this set. This card is made with the Catelynne collection, then I popped the cat.

This card is made using the nesties for the label, the Scor bug for the embossed dots. I used Catelynne. I love the color palette of this collection. I cut the image out and layered it on white.

Finally, I created this holiday thank you card with the holly images from the cup of love set. I really like how you are not forced to just use the cup on this set. There are so many other great images to use.

Slider Card

Like the clouds, that was a first. And this type of slider was a little challenging since my image was going the opposite direction then I needed. LOL

What can I say when it is a Mabelle set I get carried away. I did three cards with this set before I even realized it. That is totally my kind of stamping. Mabelle's images are always beautiful and whimsical which I love.

This first card is done with the Angelee SWIC collection and a nestie label. Simple and Sweet.

The second card is done with Catelynne FWIC collection a quick card.

Final card is done with a simple sketch that I created. I used watercolor pencils as the medium.

Double 12X12 Page

I was able to steal away on Saturday to scrap and create with my friend Vickie. We spent most of the day creating and working on scrapbook pages. She was able to get more done then me. This is the only page that I was able to create. I need to get on the ball this page is actually 2009 birthday for my daughter. I still have to do my son's too for that year and then get more caught up to at least 2010. I can not what for more time to create and play too. {smile}

Okay, this challenge was a huge hurdle for me. I have a never been able to get the effect I want to with this technique. So, I waited till the last minute to create it. And well the first one was not so good. I figured I had to go back to the drawing board. Which meant that I had to watch a couple of video tuitorial. Well, I think I finally got a sample that was half way presentable.

This sample is made with the Sunflower set, Script background, Vintage Background, Fly Fanciful Vintage.

On this sample I stamped the fancy curls in the background with versamark then clear embossed it. I stamped the butterfly image with Memento, then colored with Copic markers. Finally, I embossed in black the sentiments.

I decided to do a girly and manly car with this set. I love how easy it is to do both. The first sample is made with the uptown girl designer paper. Of course with my favorite color PINK! I just had to make the flower the same color which is Claret. I stamped vintage background in Noir. And finished it off with a little scrappers floss and a button.

The second card is made with the Amberely Grace SWIC collection. I paired it with the cardstock, and Wheat ink. For a more masculine feel.

This is going to be one fun month of stamping. {BIG Grin}. I am so excited on Feb. 16th my cards will be featured so check back often.

I used the background soup set on this card to add the little circles, then I crimped a piece of cardstock to match my car. I used a button with a little black bling to dress it up. Finally I stamped the sentiment and added more bling with black stickle dots.

This sketch is just a little one that I dreamed up for this Rooster. I have been trying to design with this set and having issues. She my mother loved Roosters and so this was a little bit about emotional block and a lot bit about mojo block. Savvy Projects Blog Random Patterns #2

So, now maybe you will realize how excited I am! Here is the second sample using the Random Patterns set featured this month on special. I tried to step out of my normal box and do a more random card using my More Mimi scraps. I embossed the flower in white then die cut it using the Nestie Label #1. This one is not my normal style but I kind of like it.

This card is made with the Random Patterns set using Chartreuse ink for the flowers and Burnt Umber for the sentiment. Then I took Miss Moxie designer cardstock and cut the scallop using cloud scissors. I paired that with the More Mimi ribbon, and this is what I created. I have used this sketch before and always like the end results. Hope you do too!

Are you ready for Valentines? Well, I have been working away creating all sorts of things for next month. This card my friend Vickie and I worked out. I love how the colors really pop, we used a caboodles color palette which was so nice and easy.

I am a country girl at heart. I have never lived in the country, but would love too. My parents both grew up in a very small town, so I guess I am a misplanted country girl. I love to grow vegetables, country music, cowboy boots, shooting, and being out away from it all.

Simple card for a kitty, see mine is in my lap trying to get loving while I type. She is always trying to nudge her way into my lap when I have my laptop out. It is like a calling car to her. {smile}

Okay, I am totally done with winter. We got 11 inches this past Wednesday and then a couple more on Sunday. And they keep saying that there is more to come. This morning it was around 20 degrees. But the other day it was 4 degrees. Seriously, that is too cold. I have been even too cold to work on cards. I created this simple sketch to get my mojo flowing.

This sample card is made with a Gift With Purchase which is a free stamp. Yeah, and look at how easy it is to create a simple valentines. Hope this inspires you to get your stamps inky.

This week's sketch was inspired by wanting to play with a more masculine stamp set. I love this new set called Bad to the Bone. It reminds me of my Mastiff with all his wrinkles. I love Bulldogs and if they did not have such health issues I would have one. So here is my Valentine/sketch card. I even took a photo of the inside.
